Cant help but love this band, they are young and talented and have a healthy obsession with Iron Maiden!
What puts these guys above the rest is their great musicianship and entertaining stage presence. They have a huge set as well full of headbanging riffs and a fantastic version of 'Fear In The Dark'.

KOPPERHED
Stepped in at the last moment as Primitai had to cancel due to their guitarist becoming a dad!Kopperhed have only been around a short while but are picking up quite a following and getting a reputation as a great live band.
They certainly entertain and are clearly four very different people bringing in varied influences to create what one guy commented as sort of "New Nu-Metal".

Incredible growling vocals are delivered by a huge man in a kilt doing old "rave" type hand dances whilst metal and goth influences flow from the guitarist and bassist, the latter with some amazing vocal harmonies as well (Despite a michrophone malfunction), all this backed by wild drumming.

GODS OF HELLFIRE
With a huge vocalist looking like a cross between Danzig and Peter Steel and a band armed with flying V type guitars you know you are in for a set of high volume metal, and thats exactly what we get, and it fucking rocked!

A superb set of full on old school tinged heavy metal with screaming vocals and guitars and break-neck drumming held together by tight bass riffs, but hold on it gets better they pull out a cover of Rainbow's 'Hall Of The Mountain King' that was outstanding!

MOUTHFUL OF FLIES
Definatley one of the best live bands around at the moment, their take on metal has elements of Static X and Fear Factory but they are true originals in both music and performance.
A full set is recieved with headbanging and cheering throughout, they have some fantastic songs and its all delivered with style.

MOUTHFUL OF FLIES - TEN NEGATIVE SIXES (Cd Review)

01.Deadened Soul
02.March Of The Clones
03.Believe The Lie
04.Blatant Frenzy
05.Breeder
06.Lost
07.Ingrained
08.Living The Nightmare
09.Black Magick
10.Strange Days

Daniel Stevenson (Vocals/Guitar)
Dean Smith (Guitar/Drums)
Robi Smith (Bass)
Johan Buys (Bass)

Recorded over a period of 3 years this was clearly a long term project that they took a great deal of care over, striving for their perfect sound.
This is technical and heavy as fuck, a huge drum sound drives each song as if life itself depends on the power with which each skin is crushed.

Then we get the guitarwork, heavy powerchords with catchy riffs lurking behind each song and the vocals are screaming right in your brain yet retain melody.
The song 'Lost' shows another side to the band with its techno intro and Wayne Static like vocal delivery.

Im seriously loving the guitar on 'Living The Nightmare' its like a non stop guitar solo, it just rips right through the whole song, play this fucker loud!

This album is just a pleasure to listen to, it simply rocks from first to last song without any drop in quality.

You should also go check them out live, where daniel and Dean are joined by Jake Findlay on bass and Kev Parker on drums.

Rating 10/10

For Fans Of : Strapping Young Lad, Static X, Dope, Fear Factory.

Where the hell have these guys been hiding?????Really stunning live performance that totally blew everybody away.Great songs delivered with precision and excellent musicianship.Evil vocals and doomy lyrics mixed up with good Heavy metal.
You have to check them out!!

VIRUS
Coke may have been ill tonight but you wouldnt have noticed as he lead his fearsome foursome into a blistering set of classics and newbies!Tonight the band seemed happy on stage, sure there were a few mistakes but Cokes guitar sounded better than the last gig, due to better gear i think, and despite the fact that the bass was "DI'd" as the bass head over heated during the previous set the overall sound and performance was right on it.

Each time i see Virus they seem to grow in confidence and are shaping up to prove that their "Lunacy" can reclaim a place in the hearts of the metal world.

FERAL
With no shovels in sight the band decided to play guitars instead, which as it turns out was the better option because not only do they play them with the skill and style of musicians who have been playing for 20 years but shovels are very difficult to tune.

Another blinding set, with jokes a plenty inbetween the songs, just all round entertainment and delivered with such talent that its no wonder they have risen in just 7 months to the level that has the likes of Adrian Erlandsson (At The Gates/Cradle Of Filth/Paradise Lost/Nemhain) to remark "Who is this Feral i have been hearing so much about?".Watch this space!!!!

Madness reared its head tonight with a frantic version of 'Truth Is Lies' with guest vocals from Jaz (Man Of Kin) and a chaotic version of Motorhead's 'Orgasmatron' with vocals from Feral;s original vocalist, a man who for those of you old enough to remember whose stage presence was like Arthur Brown on acid!!

MAN OF KIN
What better way to get aquainted with their stunning debut album 'Lock & Load' than to have the band perform it in its entireity,'Primitive' still stands out as the ultimate crowd pleaser and erupts the venue.
They ended their set with a covers medley, i tell you the place was dripping with sweat, you'd think the gig was in a turkish bath house.Just a perfect end to a perfect evening.
