Stevil (Guitar)
Faraz (Guitar)
Hellhog (Drums)
Described as "The bastard child" of ex-Ted Maul drummer Hellhog (Dripback) and former Labrat axe grinder Stevil formed in June 2007.
An EP release, and several line-up changes later, Pure Negative; now with ex- 50 Calibre bass monster Hillion, vocal terrorist Cleatus Van Damme (Affluenza), and ex-Damnas six string abuser F-Bomb (River Freshney) on board, are taking over!
Following their blistering performace at the 2011 Bloodstock festival their lethal brand of technical prog/metal madness was taken into the studio with producer Dan Foorde (Sikth) and mastered by none other than Russ Russell.
So aside from the weird orchestral 'Overture' the rest of the album is full on in your face metal performed at a very high standard.
Brutal in every way, yet skillfully pieced together, every instrument mixed to perfection to allow clarity delivered with a sledgehammer!
Some stunning Bass guitar in '7th Empire' and all held together with screaming vocals and quality rifferey!!!!

KUNT PUNCHER - TAKE DRUGS & EAT A KEBAB (Cd Review)

01.Goody Bag Body Bag
02.Whole Licks In Bed
03.Rob From Halfords
04.Paedo In Speedos
05.Boon Is Fucking Ace
06.New Friend Request
Doyle (Vocals)
Lee4 (Guitar)
The Brown Lazer (Samples/Noise/Drums)
Fuck Off Donny (Guitar)
In 2009, in a grotty cupboard in North London, 3 guys are stood around a microphone
shouting off about a bald guy who works at Halfords. From this 'Takes Drugs And Eat A
Kebab' was born, marking a new sound in Grindcore, by the name of, Kuntpuncher. Sick of
been in bands with drummers, ego's and mediocre everyday metal tunes, Doyle (MyWar, River
Freshney, Teratoid), Lee4 (River Freshney, Dripback) and The Brown Lazer (Yes My Ninjas?,
Drunken Bastard) decided to step up and do what they wanted to do.
From playing shows with grindcore and metal bands, to playing sets covering The Black
Eyed Peas, Kuntpuncher have always set out to leave an impression and leave people
wondering what they just witnessed.
After self releasing the first ep, 'Take Drugs….', J.Randall (Agoraphobic Nosebleed)
came across Kuntpuncher and eventually released it on his recently formed Grindcore
Karaoke label. Within 2 weeks of 'Take Drugs'''' going live on the site, Kuntpuncher had
over 5000 downloads.
Currently recruiting a second guitarist Donny (Nebukadnezza, Damnas), Kuntpuncher have
gone on to record new tracks for compilations, upcoming splits, and are currently writing
new material for their first full length album.
This six track EP starts off with a "Do not listen" sample that in reality i should have
heeded!!!!
Yet this opening track has some great synth and sample use, mixed in with full on
agressive noise it creates a very intresting piece.
I have to say that this is actually quite good, the way they mix the sounds is perhaps
more intresting than the actual quality of the music (And the less said about the lyrics
the better).

EVILE, MUTANT, RIVER FRESHNEY Camden Underworld 23.04.09 (Gig Review)
EVILE
TRIGGER THE BLOODSHED
MUTANT
RIVER FRESHNEY
Underworld, Camden 23.04.09
RIVER FRESHNEY
In your face thrash metal, mixing comedy, with lyrics that are guaranteed to offend at least one person in the crowd. Great stuff, great stage presence. They know how to entertain and make use of the stage well and their inbetween song banter was funny and suitably offensive.
Essentially what you get is Lawnmower Deth meets Napalm Death with some of the less savoury elements of Anal Cunt.Songs like "Bob Hoskins goin' mental in a bin" and the legendary "Titwank" are crowd pleasers but the bad taste award tonight goes to my favourite song of the night "Gay pride sunshine" which had me in hysterics.
MUTANT
They race to the stage, full of energy, matched by the audience as they launched into non stop moshing and stage diving. one stage diver knocks the singers guitar out of his hands and manages to break a string.
Despite this being headlined by Evile, there were many many mutant tshirts being worn.Anyone waiting to hear some of the new cd "Laserdrome" played live were in for a treat and it sounded amazing.
They ended with "Psycho Surgery" which is received with a mighty roar, the singer/guitarist Tom Luchtenstein said "the underworld was built with a pillar for one reason, to have a circle pit round!" the place then exploded with bodies flying everywhere.Great set, great fun! from a band who are rapidly climing the thrash ladder.
TRIGGER THE BLOODSHED
As Warpath couldnt make it, in fact it seems they have cancelled the rest of the tour, current press faves "TTB" have stepped in to finish the tour. However as they are a Detah metal act they seem an odd choice. They were very well received, though not my type of music personally, they played well and are clearly talented.
EVILE
The moment everyone has been waiting for, the lights dim, and the opening guitar bit from "We Who Are About To Die" plays, they explode into the song, more moshing, more stage diving, people limping around and this is only the first song!
They carry on playing through a faultless set, almost bumping into the hoard of headbangers that have taken over the stage on more than one occasion.
Singer/guitarist Matt Drake announces to the crowd that they didnt expect such a turn out, and is one of the most packed gigs they've played, it was very cramped in the floor area of the venue!
He also announced that the new album is due out soon, and they play 2 new songs "Demolition" which was awesome and had lots of 'headbangy' moments.
The second new song played later on was untitled but was impromptuly named "Jack Bauer's Power Crotch" was good but not as good as demolition.
The classic "Enter the grave" was played towards the end, sending the hordes mental.
When they finished their set, people were limping out the venue, and i swear every single person had a smile on their face, even the mosh damaged ones!

RIVER FRESHNEY - NOTHIN 2 CATCH (CD Review)

01.Told Thee It Were Russia
02.Is Scarlett Johanssons Cunt As Pretty As Her Face?
03.Bob Hoskins Goin Mental In A Bin
04.The Lonely Fisherman
05.Weetaprix
06.Its Not Rape If You Shout Suprise
07.Wheres My Fuckin Gin?
08.Titwank
09.We Bite
10.Gay Pride Sunshine (Live)
11.Titwank (Live)
Optimus Doyle (Mouth)
Wez4 (4 Strings)
Lee4 (4 Strings)
Mike4 (3 Strings)
Nic Boy (Cowbell)
We are in Anal Cunt territory here, but at least this lot can play their instruments and you can make out the vocals.
Track 4 shows their Thrash credentials with a very obvious take on the Virus classic "Lunacy".These first 4 tracks are from their first demo recorded early in 2006.
The next 4 tracks were recorded at the end of 2006 for their second demo, and it is a much better offering with mid pace thrash songs meeting a touch of grindcore, "Wheres My Fuckin Gin?" kicks ass.
The last 3 tracks are all previously unreleased.First up is a break neck and quite brilliant cover of the Misfits "We Bite".The last 2 were recorded live this february at the Bridgehouse, "gay Pride" is not one to play any sensitive and/or politically correct friends.
Rating 8/10.
