VELVET HIGHWAY CLUB NIGHT 05.02.10 (Review)

The Apothecary Bar is part of the Egg club in Kings Cross and tonight was host to the first night thrown by Aphrodite Entertainments (a new company with involvement from Laura London), an interactive rock n roll cirus called Velvet Highway.

Over 150 people packed into the venue for 6 hours of pure fun, on stage performances from Lydia Darling with a breathtaking hoop routine, there was also some great pole dancing from Panjea and another girl.

Throughout the performances the dj's kept the music pumping with everything from Motley Crue to Bauhaus and instead of people standing still and watching the acts they kept dancing, which was the whole point of creating a great atmosphere.

During the dancing Little Bo Freak mingled with them on stilts with her snake and Sophie dished out free shotsof JD.

The only time the dancing stopped was for a special appearence with Morrigan Hel from Nemhain who danced with fire!!!

All in all a great night, got to meet loads of new people and had fun!!!
